Window into a Watery World

In my last post I shared with you a project made with the tree dies from the new Inspiring Canopy die set. Sometimes we feel we have enough of one type of stamp or die and I wanted to share an alternative way to use these dies.

Today I'm back with another project in which I use those same dies.  Below is a photo of my shadow box card and this time I'm using the dies to recreate the effect of coral in my underwater scene.

You can spot the Inspiring Canopy tree dies front left in the porthole. The background paper has now, sadly, retired but I will be able to recreate a similar effect when my new Seascape stamp set arrives next week. The whale, also from the same paper pack can be stamped using the Whale Done stamp set which I'm delighted to say is carrying over to the latest catalogue. The metal studs on the porthole are circles from an office hole punch which I've covered in fine tip glue to give them dimension. The whale and some of the sea grass has also had a coating of fine tip glue.
Below you can see a close up of the coral...

I hope you've enjoyed my second project using the Inspiring Canopy tree die. I'm planning to come back soon with another.
In the meantime I've added a list of products used below. Click on any to view more clearly or to purchase.

On another note, our new catalogue is now live and if you'd like a copy but don't have a demonstrator, please contact me. Alternatively, it may be viewed online via my catalogues link at the top of this blog.

Thanks for stopping by,

Lesley
