May Birthdays

I love that my birthday is in May. Lily of the Valley is the flower of the month, which smells beautiful and this year the bluebells in my garden are in full bloom.

I was spoiled with three beautiful bouquets of alstroemeria, lilies and lillies with freesia. My lounge is scented with these stunning blooms.

Alongside I received some lovely handmade cards which I'll share with you on another day.

Today I want to share two birthday cards I sent out this month. The first is a little busy looking. That's due to the products I chose from the Art Gallery suite. I have used a few of the latest products to retire, Some of them are so stunning, such as the paper, that i's a shame not to share the last of them with you. The designs for the paper (DSP) come from stunning artists painted canvas created specially for Stampin' Up! by their in-house designers. The fun fold style of card is called a Pocket Front Card. I'll be sharing more on this fold after my May Just For Fun card classes. Here is the card, first laying flat and then standing...

As you can see, I added a little gilded leafing to the two large flowers in the centre front of the card. The grass die cut is from the now retired Friendly Silhouettes Dies.

My second card is totally different but still uses a stamp from the Art Gallery Suite for it's accent. Stamped in Petal Pink, with yet more gilded leafing. What makes you think that I like this product???

You can just about spot that I've layered some vellum on top of my pink layer (embossing them both with our new Bark 3D Embossing Folder to give texture). I have also used dies from both the Stitched Rectangles and Painted Labels. Ribbon and Stitched Nested labels are from my stash.

I can't share either of these on my social media until tomorrow as I'd like the recipients to received them first, but I hope you took some inspration from them.

If you're interested in the products I used to create these cards and would like to view them or purchase then simply click on the item(s) below that interest you.

I'll be back to share more inspiration with you soon - my next post will feature the handmade birthday cards I received...they are very varied!

Have a good week,
Lesley
