Amazing Life!

Today I'm sharing a card which we made at a Coffee and Card session early last month.
The stamp set - Amazing Life, is one that I wasn't overly sure about when I first received it but I really love the card that we made!

The Happy Birthday stamp is used lightly down the right hand side of the base card in Smoky Slate (and no, I didn't use my Stamparatus, I did that freehand!) with the main sentiment in bold Pacific Point towards the bottom right hand corner.
The cake is stamped in black on a separate piece of Whisper White, coloured in with Watercolour Pencils - Melon Mambo and Daffodil Yellow, with a little Wink of Stella on top - then punched out using a large circle punch. From a piece of Pacific Point cardstock we punched with the Starburst Punch and glued this behind the cake image. This was placed on top of a small strip of White Flax Ribbon which had been daubed with Melon Mambo ink, before being attached to our base card. Our card was finished off with a few retired sequins from my stash. I love that you can still some of the white on the Flax Ribbon, it gives it more depth and texture.

By using a plain thick Whisper White base card, this colours on this card could easily be changed up to suit the recipient or to work with whatever colour Stampin' Pads you own. You really don't need to own them all to reproduce this card.
Below are pictures of some of the ladies getting 'inky'.

Have you got a stamp set that you're not sure about? Why not pull it out today and see what you can make - you might be surprised by the result!
Have a good week,
Lesley
