Pop Up Celebration

I mentioned before, that this year I have a LOT of BIG birthday cards to send. Many of my friends were born the same year as me, this sure will keep me busy!
I'd made some black, white, melon mambo card fronts a while back, using the Beautiful you stamp set. I held a couple back as I knew they would appeal to some friends. This week I used one to make a pop up panel card for Therese.
A piece of black card was embossed with the Falling Petals embossing folder (now retired but was current when I made the card front!) and mounted onto a melon mambo base card. Onto whisper white I stamped one of the ladies from Beautiful You. I masked her off and stamped the scene from Mediterranean Moments over the top. Remove the mask - voila! There's the lady standing in the scene!
I stamped the lady again onto window sheet, fussy cut, and coloured her hat and dress on the reverse using glue, rubbing alcohol, melon mambo reinker and glitter. When the glue was almost dry I stuck the window sheet image over the stamped image on the white card. I edged the white card with melon mambo and stuck this to the front of my card.
Now to make the inside of my card. I made the pop up mechanism from melon mambo card and the pop up panel itself from black card.

On these inside panels I attached whisper white card onto which I'd stamped 2 of the ladies and added a pop of colour from some retired Pop of Pink Speciality DSP on the umbrella and dress. I also added a little bling in the form of the number 60, die cut using the retired Little Numbers dies and gold glimmer card.
Suitable for a celebration, do you think?
