Bike Ride

Sometimes the ideas we have don't always work so well or turn out so good when put into a project. This is exactly what happened when I made a card for the lovely Linda a few days ago.
I am delighted that glossy card has made it back into our latest catalogue and wanted to use our Stampin' Write Markers on a piece to incorporate into Linda's card. I know she likes cats and found an image in the  Mediterranean Moments stamp set, I also wanted to use the new Bike Ride stamp set and coordinating dies.
The base card is new Berry Burst. I stamped with the markers onto glossy card, watercoloured the image then coated the chair with fine tip glue. This image, after drying, was die cut with the Stitched Shapes Framelits and adhered to the inside of the card.

I cut an aperture in the front of the card using the same die. Using the die again along with a smaller one, I created a frame for the aperture.
Next I stamped on glossy card again and die cut the bike image. I used a punch to cut the wheels, the rear one was attached with a brad so that it can be turned.
A piece of Tranquil Tide ribbon stapled to the top left corner and a wooden sentiment, I had stashed away from a previous catalogue, and the card was finished.

I still wasn't sure about the finished card so called on a friend and fellow demo who suggested I move the wooden sentiment to where it is shown on the card above. Her suggestion and reassurance that the card was good enough to send, was enough. There was no time left to make another!
I hope Linda had a wonderful birthday and the card didn't disappoint!
