More Shells

Today I'm sharing another card made with the Friends are like Seashells stamp set, embossing folder and dies. It's fun to be able to use all three on one project.

I wanted to take a little peep into an underwater world with the shells and seaweed masking our view.

First I adhered some DSP to a piece of cardstock then I die cut an aperture on the front using the Layered Diorama dies. The patterned paper (DSP) on both the front of the aperture and the inside back of the card is from a retired pack which I still have in my stash and has been inked with starry sky. There's also another smaller piece of DSP on the inside back which depicts coral and other underwater images.

The middle section is embossed and die cut with the Seashells 3D embossing folder and large die from the coordinating Seaside Seashells dies. I rubbed petal pink and blushing bride ink onto the shells and old olive and shaded spruce onto the weeds, then I stamped onto the shells with crumb cake. This was attached to the inside on a piece of window sheet to give it stability.

I'm now wishing that I hadn't used the piece of DSP inside but had instead stamped some coral and seaweed, fussy cut it and used that instead. But no matter. It's done and not everything is perfect!

The card is not quite how I'd planned it but I hope you've enjoyed stopping by to view. A list of current product used in below and items can be seen more clearly and/or purchased by clicking on an image.

Have a good week,

Lesley
