Waves of Inspiration

When is a wave not a wave? That sounds like a silly question. However, as much as I fell in love with the new Waves of the Ocean suite the minute I laid eyes on it, I wanted to create a simple card with the stamp set which didn't appear as a picture of a wave.

Here we have it....

Let's take a closer look at the card itself -

Does that look like a wave to you? The stamp reminds me of the painting by Hokusai called 'Under the Wave off Kanagawa', also know as 'The Great Wave'. I've stamped the image twice, in opposite directions and in a non conventional colour. The sentiment is from the Biggest Wish stamp set and has been embossed in gold. A few gems to embellish. There are also small areas which have been stamped with a stamp from Calming Camellia (a host Saleabration stamp set) in Versamark ink and had gold leafing applied. Maybe you can see this in the close up below...

And, of course, no naked envelope!

Would you like to see the complete stamp set and the rest of the Waves of the Ocean suite? The items are available from 1st March - 2 May for you to purchase.

Here you can see how this suite was created..

These products will be available to you very soon! A list of the rest of the supplies is shown at the foot of this post.

I hope you've enjoyed seeing my alternative card today.

Happy crafting

Lesley
