A Little Vintage
Have you seen the super Sale-a-bration Hostess stamp set - Calming Camellia? What a beautiful, soft image!
This is a Distinktive** stamp set; it has a special texture that gives added depth and dimension in a single step, creating photo-realistic images. **Patent pending |
Perfect for creating a slightly vintage looking card for my friend's birthday. Before you even ask, yes, it's a belated card!
Below is my card, which I hope you like. I have used a retired embossing folder (Scripty 3D) but there's a similar current folder for sale called Timeworn Type 3D.
The flowers have been highlighted with a white gel pen and the leaves with a chalk pen.
The card base itself has been stamped randomly with the image in crumb cake. A very vanilla mat on top finished with the stamped image which, after stamping and highlighting, has been embossed with the embossing folder. Crumb cake ink has been blended across the embossing with a blending brush.
Finished with a triple thickness linen thread bow. Of course, no naked envelope....
I hope you've enjoyed todays card as much as I enjoyed making it. The stamp set is only available as a Host set during Saleabration, but the ideas could be transferred to other sets. To find out more about this stamp set , click this link -
