Inking Up For Autumn

Last week I held another Coffee & Card session in our local Costa.

Being September I thought it might be fun to make somthing in autumnal colours. We fell back on the old but loved baby wipe technique. I haven't done this with my ladies for ages as I've avoided using baby wipes since do so much damage to our planet. Biodegradable can still take a long, long time to degrade. I managed to find some compostable wipes. These have been certified to break down in industrial composting facilities within 180 days. So, I felt a lot happier with my purchase! By not over inking the wipes we still managed to get a soft looking stamped image.

Below you can see our card.

To keep the colour palette softer, we used a calypso coral base rather than cajun craze. The white layer was randomly stamped with various stamps from the Forever Fern stamp set.
We also used die cuts created with the Picture This dies (you might remember that we used the circular on on our recent session when we made the sheep card). We raised the die cuts on stampin' dimensionals to give depth to the card, these die cuts were stamped with 'Happy' and 'Birthday' from the Biggest Wish stamp set. It has fun, fairly large sized sentiments in the set.
The card is finished with some lines thread.

It was fun to revisit this technique. I hope you enjoy it too.
