Blackberry Beauty Fun Fold

It may be Bank Holiday weeked but it's a bit nippy, what better weather for us to be crafting!

Today I want to share with you yet another card which I've made using the Blackberry Beauty DSP and ephemera pack. Not a stamp in sight!  You can see one of each of the items in the ephemera pack shown in the picture above.

I'm not a purple person but this paper is just beautiful. The gold highlights the paper, it's stunning in real life!

For want of a better name, I refer to this card fold as a Peekaboo Latch Card and the following photos will bear this out.  It wasn't the easiest card to photograph!

I used the flowers and a tag from the ephemera pack, cutting the tag into pieces to add to both ends of the latch. I found some retired thread in my stash as the tag had a hole at one end and it called out for something to thread through it. The aperture was die cut with one of the Stitched Label dies.
In the photos below I've shown the card being opened gradually so that you're able to check out how it all fits together.

Here, above and below, you can quite clearly see where I cut the tag into two pieces and attached one to each end of the latch

This next photo shows the reverse of the latch onto which I've added a coordinating dsp. No prizes for spotting my crafty error though...I've glued it on upside down!

.

The final photo shows the finished card next to some of the ephemera. It was difficult to make a choice when knowing which pieces to use. The polished pink base card is not one that I'd have originally chosen but I saw that it's one of the colours on the DSP and I love the finish - it didn't disappoint.

If you're on the fence about the Blackberry Beauty suite then don't be. It really is beautiful. Maybe start with one or two items if you're unsure. If you haven't already seen them, I've two more fun fold cards made with the patterned paper (DSP) and ephemera pack, you can view them HERE .

At the foot of this post is a list of the items used to create today's card. You can view them more clearly or shop, just by clicking on the image you're interested in.

I do hope you'll dip your toe into crafting with this stunning suite.

Happy crafting

Lesley
