Dragonflies in a Dandy Garden

As a demonstrator I get to see and pre-order from the upcoming catalogues before they’re available for all to see. Just prior to our recent onstage event, we were offered the chance to get our hands on the new Dandy Garden suite., see below.

Let me say, straight off, that I dithered. You can’t like absolutely everything and I wasn’t overawed at first sight, but eventually took the plunge. Well, I’m so glad I did. The samples created with the products which were revealed during Onstage so much nicer than I envisaged - I actually liked them!  You can see some of them in the photo above.

Last week I finally opened the stamps myself and created a card for my friends birthday.  I’m sharing it with you today.

Once I’d checked out the reverse of the DSP I found that I like many of them. The stamps are the perfect size and just detailed enough without being over fussy and you have to love a coordinating punch!

Did you spot these tiny creatures in the above photos???

Here's the finished card...

I stamped two of the dragonflies onto window sheet and fussy cut them before adding colour. To be honest, I was really rather pleased with the result and think they really made the card ‘pop’. There is a close up of them below.

Do you like them? What do you think of the suite?  I’m now quite keen to play with this set some more. However, Decembers class and my Christmas cards must come first.

I hope you like the card and give the Dandy Garden a try when it becomes available to all in January. If you don't have a demonstrator and would like to see it in our new catalogue before then January please ask me for a copy and I’ll get one to you soon after I take delivery in December. Until then Happy crafting!
