Staying In Touch
We're all in this self isolation bubble.
I'm not going into the whole current global situation here - there's enough of that in the press, on tv and on social media. But I want to talk about staing in touch and being connected.
I had to cancel my March classes and had thought to postpone them until May. However, I wanted to help my ladies feel connected and keep crafting - we are often told how crafting is one way of supporting our mental health and wellbeing. With this in mind, I broke open some packs of the Kerchief Card Kit from Sale-a-bration. I'd recently had a project shared with me on how to make a box from one of the cards. I made a box from a poppy parade card and one from a pool party card which I videod. These videos were uploaded to a private Youtube channel.
I then split the contents and made each kit into 8 packs. Attached a simple diagram for the project and a small covering note and mailed these out to my class ladies, explaining that this was a free gift from me. I also emailed each of them with the video link and telling them to expect something exciting in the post.
For those who'd already made the box I set up something similar making an alternative card design.

Initially some of my ladies hadn't really embraced the idea of crafting online but, after a group zoom call they confirmed that they'd been able to follow everything easily and most had completed their project.
I was delighted to have kept them connected.
Until next time, stay safe
