Summer Stamp Camp 6 - 10

I hope you enjoyed viewing the last post - back again with the second batch of cards we made at Stamp Camp!
The first today would be suitable as a sympathy card or simply to let someone know that you're thinking of them.
I was inspired to create it after having seen a beautiful card made by Lauren La Fey, a talented lady who, until recently, was a demonstrator on our team.

The base card is thick whisper white which has a a piece or regular whisper white card on top that has been embossed with the Pinewood Planks embossing folder.
The image has been created by pressing both the soft seafoam and purple posy ink pads onto an acrylic stamping block and then stamping that onto white card. Over this some flowers and leaves from the Friend Like You stamp set have been stamped in old olive and gorgeous grape. Once trimmed this panel is glued to the embossed card and attached to the card base. The sentiment stamp (Beautiful Day) has been masked leaving the phrase 'thinking of you' to be stamped in gorgeous grape onto a strip of card which is then mounted onto dimensions and attached to the card front.

Both the next card and the following one have been CASED from the catalogue. Whilst I don't have a love of birds, I really do love this card, the balance of colours and images work beautifully together. Credit to the creator of this little gem in the catalogue!
The stamp set is Free As A Bird, I've also used two stamps from the Swirly Frames set. Such a pretty card, it can be found on page 117 of the annual catalogue.

Another catalogue CASED card (page 156), although I wasn't so happy with this one. However, I kept it in the selection as I have to remember that we all like different cards and images so whilst it may not be my favourite, it might appeal to another person.
I changed up the front slightly by using Crackle Paint stamp for the background and a flower from Good Morning Magnolia.

I quite like this next card. It's a great way to use up scraps of cardstock and can be made in any colour combination - the combo here was chosen for a more masculine card.
The sentiment is one featured in the Lots Of Happy card kit. The kit is great value as it contains 20 cards in 5 different designs (plus all the layers and envelopes), a stamp set and a set of watercolour pencils all for just £33!
A little ribbon from my stash and a die cut shape from the Perfect Parcel Dies finish off the card.

Todays final card is in calypso coral, mossy meadow and whisper white. The pretty roses are cut using the Botanical Tags dies. Finished with a doily (from my stash), scalloped linen ribbon in terracotta tile and silver thread. The sentiment is from the, now retired, Everything Is Rosy stamp set.

So that brings me to the end of todays share, which I do hope you've enjoyed!
In my next post I'll bring you the final batch from my Summer Stamp camp. In the meantime, let's hope that the summer weather returns!
