Sad Times

Sympathy cards are not easy to make but we all need them from time to time.
Having had two family bereavements early this year, this was one of those times.
I didn't want anything heavy looking, too sombre, so opted to use a stamp from the Avant Garden saleabration stamp set.
I stamped and heat embossed the flower in silver on to vellum, colouring with pear pizzazz Stampin' Write marker and white gel pen. This was die cut into an oval then layered onto a piece of pear pizzazz card which had been die cut using the Stitched Shapes framelits.
The sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Sentiments stamp set, I pulled out some retired punches to to mount the sentiment on.
This topper was then layered onto a piece of retired white, self embossed DSP and adhered to a pear pizzazz card base. Two tiny pearl embellishments finished the card.
This clean looking card conveys, I trust, not just my sadness but also my hope for the future.
