January Birthday

© Stampin' Up!

Way back in October I attended a weekend craft retreat held by the lovely Kim Fee (Simply Fairies). Unfortunately, I'd picked up a bug, so came home early, not having completed the super projects.

Roll forward to earlier this month. A friend's birthday, I'm snowed under and have brain fog with not a single creative thought to save my life. Kim to the rescue! I made tiny alterations to one of her fab designs and, hey presto! Here's the card....

The patterned paper (DSP) is actually a little more vivid than shown in my photo. The paper was a special release called Fitting Florets. I wish I'd bought a spare pack when it was available.

The pretty open leaves are die cut using the Framed Florets dies and my sentiment - you can see the complete set of dies at the top of this post. There is also a coordinating set of stamps.

I used some pretty, retired twine underneath the sentiment. Sometimes you just need to use what's in your stash - retired or not!

Although my name is on the photo, the design is by Kim, just tweaked by me!

I'm ever hopeful that I'll magically become more organised for future birthdays!

Until next time, happy crafting!

Lesley
