Just Have Fun!

Sometimes it's so easy for demos to get caught up in classses and prepping for them that whilst we enjoy this, we also need 'downtime' and the chance to play with products. Simply to just have fun for no specific crafty reason.

This evening I was playing with ink pads and a water painter, with nothing specific in mind, when I remembered a card I received last year made by my friend Cary. Now, I've used bleach on my projects many times over the years, Cary's card was made with a similar product which I could only order online .... until she mentioned that one of her lovely ladies, Danielle, had used Milton instead. Yep, the stuff you sterilise baby's bottles with.

So, I painted over my inky, stamped card (Painted Poppies) with Millton. Here is the result....


As you can see, I finished the card with some gilded leafing. This was applied by stamping onto the card with Versamark using a stamp from the Natural Textures stamp set, adding heat and stick powder and heating, then finishing with the gilded leafing.
The sentiment is retired and from my stash.
I already have a recipient in mind and can think of a couple more I need to send out, so tomorrow it's back to the craft room to play again.
