It seems that I have more birthdays in April than I'd originally thought. I rarely send out cards from my stash, they're usually donated to be sold in aid of charity twice each year. I prefer to make cards for each person as the events arise. However, I've been caught on the hop this week, I needed 5 birthday cards and a bundle of thanks all to go out within the next few days. That stash of cards sure came in handy!
I made the base of this birthday card last year when I purchased the Botanical Prints Medley. Such a lovely suite of products. The patterned paper (DSP) is from the medley but the die cut sentiment on the front of the card is one of the current Floral Gallery dies. Inside I have used a retired Happy Birthday die.
How pretty these simple little cards look!
The colours are 3 of the new In Colours which are released for sale from 4th May. I used Evening Evergreen and Soft Succulent which have both been stamped off first. The soft mauve/pink is Fresh Freesia. There are 2 further colours which I haven't used here - Polished Pink and Pale Papaya.
Evening Evergreen appears black in my photo but is, in fact, a lovely deep,deep green.
