Dandy Garden
Hello,
Today I have just the one card to share with you. It has been die cut, embossed and has a punched shape but is really a rather simple card which, to me, appears to resemble the texture of fabric, as if quilted.
The paper and punch are from the Dandy Garden suite and I've yet to add a sentiment but here it is...
So, how did I get to this finished card?
I started with the DSP/patterned paper. Many of the papers in this stack have a strong green colour which would have overpowered my card. After a sift through and checking the designs on the reverse, I chose a few I was happy with and, after trimming one piece to fit the front of my card, went on to cut an apertrure in the centre then cut different sized narrow circular frames from the remaining papers with the Layering Circles dies. Once layed inside the aperture I had concentric circles, I stuck the whole thing to a piece of cardstock then embossed them with an old folder (now retired). This gives an interesting texture to the piece. I layered this on to vellum and then to the seaside spray card front.
The dragonfly is punched out from another piece of the paper. Fine Tip Glue has been added to his body then left to dry and there's Wink of Stella on his wings, this makes the body shine and gives it texture and the wings sparkle, although this is not evident from my photo. Clear epoxy drops from the Flowers For Every Season Gems finish the card. All it needs now is a sentiment!
I hope you've enjoyed seeing today's card. If you'd like to view any of the products in more details, or to order them, just click on the image below.
Have a crafty weekend!
