Whale Wiper

The moment I laid eyes on the Whale of a Time suite in the annual catalogue I knew that I
wanted needed it! So, how come it took until this month for me to use the products??? I mean, just look at the super images, fab paper and,and...
The photo above shows just the stamp and punch bundle. Do look in the catalogue to see the rest of the super products in this suite - the DSP (patterned paper), deep embossing folder and sequins. Irresistible!

Last week it was my son's birthday. Not sure if this set was maybe a little young - but go with it, I did! I created an underwater fun fold card called a Wiper Card. So called because the little pop-up is like a windscreen wiper.

Let me share the finished card with you.

This is the finished card standing -

I didn't need to do too much stamping as the patterned paper is just so lovely. I did stamp the whale and shellfish. Also, the turtle - more about him below. I added fine tip glue to the whale and some of the plants to give depth and texture.

Here is card, folded flat to fit in the envelope

Ths is the reverse of the open card with the sentiment panel in white with stamped images..

This last photo shows the turtle up close.

The turtle is not part of the current set but was featured in the retired stamp set From Land To Sea. I just love this little guy - especially more so since we saw the beautiful green turtles hauling themselves out of the ocean and onto the beach in Hawaii a few years ago - I'd made him for a card when the set was current. I'd stashed the card away and dismantled it to be able to include him on this card. He was stamped onto card, coloured then stamped onto window sheet (acetate) in Staz-On ink. Both were fussy cut, I just used the shell from the window sheet, then glued the two pieces together. This gives him a lovely shiny shell and it appears more 3D.

Yes, we kept our 6" distance from her

I'm really pleased with the finished card and hope you like it too! Let me know what you think by leaving a comment below.
