Floating Bling

Morning!

Have you seen our new floating bling? AKA Gilded Leafing Embellishment, this kind of product has been around for many years but is now in our latest seasonal catalogue.

Why did I call it floating bling? You've only to try it to find out!

The tub you see in the photo below was crammed full. You will see that less that half of it has been removed.

but now take a look in the plastic tub -

ALL that came out of the pot. Masses of it!

Light as a feather, and soooo soft, it floats in the air so take care not to waft it around when you open the pot and use it. It's easy to break apart and use fragments.

On Marilyns birthday card (please excuse the slightly skew whiff sentiment!) I have used these beautiful clouds of gold adhered in two different ways.

First I stamp and heat embossed the flower (from the Art Gallery stamp set) in white onto blushing bride card. The flower overlay stamp was inked with versamark onto which I sprinkled Heat and Stick powder. Heat with your heat gun just as you would embossing powder. The Heat and Stick powder melts and goes clear. This is now sticky and acts like a glue. Add the Gilded Leafing and brush off the excess. I was actually quite rough with mine as I wanted all the excess to be removed. DON'T throw away that excess - just tip it right back into the pot for next time! Be sure to screw the lid on tight to avoid spillage....ask me how I know!

I also added a band of Gilded Leafing further down the card. This time I stuck a strip of Tear and Tape adhesive to the card, removed the backing and adhered my leafing to it, brushing the excess in the same way as before.

How cool is that!

Why not try out some of our new products and elevate your crafting to a whole new level.
