A Busy Weekend!

What a crazy weekend last week was. It's a week ago but my head is still buzzing from our Leaders Summit. A shame that we couldn't meet in person but Stampin' Up! did an amazing job in pulling out the stops to get the event transferred to an online platform and achieve what they did all in just 3 months.

I hadn't known what to expect as it's the first event of this kind that the company have arranged. So much information, I just don't know how I'll remember it all. Let's hope I can put some of it into practise! The event ran from Thursday evening until the early hours on Sunday, due to it being live in US Mountain Time.

We were spoilt with gifts, including a pair of champagne glasses which arrived in that beautiful blue box.

I think the highlight for me was listening to one of the speakers - Brenda Ster - who really inspires me.

Cheers Stampin' Up! Here's to the next one!

But, no time to sleep in - on Sunday morning I held my annual Shoebox Swap for a few of my demonstrator friends, online for the first time. The ladies had prepared their sample and card packs, mailed the packs to me to distribute out in the mail. We then crafted together on a Zoom call for 7 hours.

Seven hours and I didn’t get them all completed, although it was very relaxed.  I guess some of the ladies were still as tired as I was from the event. Below is a photo of my swap. I’d wanted to keep it simple and, to be honest, you can’t see the sparkly finish in the photo.

You might just be able to spot some of the shimmer on the next photo. This was created by sponging Wink of Stella over the trees with a sponge dauber.

No time to rest - Monday was my first monthly class since taking a break. I’ll be back to share those cards with you soon.

Have a great weekend
