Whitewash

Our March classes had to be put on hold, some of my ladies didn't feel they wanted to take part in an online class. However, the longer we are in lockdown the more they are missing their crafting. So,this week I held the March class online as a Facebook Live event.
The stamp sets used were Little Ladybug, Beautiful Day and Botanical Prints.

I'm pleased to say that they all seemed to enjoy themselves as I demonstrated the whitewash technique on two of our four cards. The other two we created using a chalk pen.

Here is our first card depicting a simple image of a ladybird flying away from a flower.

It may surprise you to know that the colour applied to the petals is actually Real Red on both the card above and the one below!
The Purple Posy linen ribbon works perfectly!

On the last two cards we put the white ink pad aside and concentrated on using the chalk pen to highlight the cards. On this wreath card we also added some heat embossing, dry embossing along with a die cut and fussy cutting to achieve the end result. Stamp is from Little Ladybug.

Stamp set on this final one is from the Botanical Prints kit. The kit may be retiring but I think I'll be holding onto it for some time!
