Swirly Frames & Daisy Lane

Hi everyone!
I had a very busy time during July and August. Apart from Summer Stamp Camp, Coffee and Card sessions and my regular classes, I also held a demonstrator only Shoebox Swap event.
We had a super shared day, crafting together. A couple of days after, I had one of my monthly classes. I hadn't made up my mind which cards we'd be making but settled on a slightly adapted version of the Shoebox Swap by Yvonne Bevan.
Instead of just one card, the ladies each made a set of 4 and boxed them, tied with ribbon, to give as a gift.

The stamp sets used were Swirly Frames, to create the white, heat embossed background and Daisy Lane. We also used the coordinating Daisy Punch.
Cardstock is pumpkin pie, melon mambo, pacific point and bermuda bay. Embellished with braided linen twine and white sentiment labels die cut with the Stitched Nested Labels dies. A tiny coloured gem in the centre of each daisy has been coloured with Stampin’ Blends in toning colours.
Such a simple, inexpensive gift, the ladies were really pleased with the end result and some are planning to make more sets to share with their friends, using different stamp sets and colour combinations.
Perhaps this idea could be used for your friends and relatives, we’ll soon be heading towards the Christmas countdown and these would make lovely tree gifts - especially if you start making them now!
Happy crafting,
Lesley

  2. Hi Rachael, I'm sorry that I missed your kind comment. The cards are the regular A6 size but appear slightly more square due to the photo grid I've put them onto.x
