Shoebox Invitation

Recently I was invited by one of my lovely team, Maria, to take part in a shoebox swap at her home.
For those of you who haven’t heard of a shoebox swap, let me explain.
Each of us attending design a card. We make up a pack/kit per attendee to enable them to recreate the card. All the packs, in fact, everything needed to recreate the card, is packed into a shoebox and taken along to the event. The only ‘rule’ is that all products used should be current.
I really didn’t know which card to make do I CASED a 3d item from our catalogue and turned it into a card instead
Here is my card -

and a (not very good) picture of the catalogue project too...

I was quite pleased with the result of my card.
The stamp set used is Daisy Delight. I’ve had the set for over a year yet I hadn’t noticed the tiny little flowers that are stamped in top of the grassy stems. I much prefer the smaller stamps in the set rather than the large daisy!
The background was prepared with a sponge roller, balmy blue and pear pizzazz inks. The base card is calypso coral. The greeting is also from Daisy Delight.

This following card was created by Maria.

Maria used the new, but already extremely popular, products from the Bird Ballad suite - the stamps and the patterned paper. How lovely this card is!

This next card was created by Wanda using the Dandelion Wishes stamp set in soft shades of pink and grey.

Dandelion Wishes is a carryover stamp set and it's refreshing to see a different take on an existing stamp set.
Wanda's card has a sentiment which makes it perfect for a wedding but the card itself would be suitable for so many different occasions simply by changing the greeting. A great idea!

The final card is Kati’s creation. She has used the new Royal Peacock bundle - the stamps and dies, with coordinating paper from the suite.

What you can't see from the photos is just how striking the colours are!
I've taken a close up photo of the peacock tail in the hope that it would make the colours and shimmer show up more.

Each card was so different! The ladies worked hard on their stunning projects and you’ll be amazed to hear that this was the very first shoebox swap any of them had taken part in!
Well done ladies!
All of these products are available from my online shop here -

Why not gather with some of your crafty friends and take part in a shoebox swap - it’s such fun!
Have a good weekend,
Lesley
