Fable Friends

I often don't get around to making Easter cards, I don't know why, I just don't. But I'd bought the cute Fable Friends stamp set and thought that my ladies would just love it. I've seen so many nice cards using this set and especially love those in the 'Peter Rabbit' style, with his nice blue jacket but I tried to steer away from that for the class cards.
In case you haven't seen it, here are the images on the stamps...

That rabbit really is so sweet!
Apart from the stamp set we also used the Gingham Gala DSP.
For our first card we stamped and paper pieced using old olive as a base card and paper piecing with the grapefruit grove paper.

Just look at those sweet babies!

Our second card is using the rabbit stamp. I wanted to show a chocolate rabbit with his ear bitten off but, after making the sample I realised that I'd made an obvious mistake! This rabbit starts with his right ear being bitten but in the last picture it miraculously reappears and it's his left ear missing!

Next I used the little squirrel with the highland heather gingham and a tiny piece of mossy green from the neutrals DSP stack which has been die cut.

As I said, I don't often send Easter cards so I added a 'spring' sentiment.

Our final card is on a whisper white base, lemon lime twist gingham and the Mummy duck. However, on this card most of the DSP is inside the card.

The gingham DSP was added inside in a fun fold which pops open when the card is opened.

I used 'Congratulations' as a sentiment as I'd just heard that the son and daughter in law of a dear, long standing friend were expecting their first baby.
Of course the envelope had to be stamped too!

I do hope the recipients enjoy receiving these cards as much as I enjoyed making them.
I wish you all a very Happy Easter!

Have a good week,

Lesley
