Saleabration has now ended for another year. I managed to earn quite a few of the freebies which I have shared in class with my ladies. They particularly loved the panda's but my favourites were Amazing You and Eclectic Expressions.
One set that just didn't 'speak' volumes to me was Lots of Lavender.
It's a shame really as I like lavender.
As you can see from the images below, there are several stamps in the set to give multi step stamping, a prefect excuse to use the Stamparatus!
Determined to use the set at a recent Coffee & Card session, I took a look at some of the cards that people were making and I noticed that a few of them had used the stamp upside down to create wisteria. Although I CASED this card, I'm afraid that I can't tell you who made the original as there was more than one example of this style of card. So, I thank them all for their generosity in sharing.
Here is our card -
I really do like the stamp when used in this way. It's quite a traditional looking and pretty card but not frumpy. We added a sentiment and a little bling in the form of rhinestones and it's good to go.
It's funny how we make an initial judgement and then change our mind, isn't it.
I wonder if you have many stamps like that? Maybe try to think outside the box a little.
I'm crazy busy this week as I prepare to go off to Onstage, our convention in Telford. We swap cards and 3D items. I'm taking part in both a team swap and a 3D WOW swap and have decided to make the same item for both. That's 24 of the same thing and I'm seeing 1" and 1 1/4" squares in my sleep, as you can see from the mess here -
Thankfully, I've almost completed the items now. I look forward to sharing them with you in another post.
Have a crafty week,
Lesley x
