Petal Passion Cards

Have you seen our Memories & More cards?
Originally an idea for scrapbooking in pockets of variable sizes as opposed to 12" x 12" card and matching pocket pages, these cards can be used for so much more. From scrapbooking, a short note card, right down to writing your shopping list on them.
Whilst I shy away from ready made toppers where you just add a foam pad,  we are sometimes short on time and need a little assistance with a quick card so
I wanted encourage my ladies to think of them as an aid to their card making.
The pack chosen for this class is Petal Passion and is in shades of powder pink, basic grey, smoky slate and basic black with whisper white. The cards are in two sizes. With around 50 cards in the pack for £9 they're extremely good value!

Our first card is made with one of the larger black and white cards from the pack which has been coloured with Stampin' Write Markers. A touch of Wink of Stella on top and a few pearls. A small sentiment which is cut using a 1 1/2" circle punch layered onto another circle made with a 1 3/4"" circle punch.

The wink of Stella is not so clear to see in the photos so I'll post close up's too -

The second card is made from one of the larger cards with a smaller card matted and layered on top. I added a piece of smoky slate gingham ribbon. I've only just ordered this and it has such a lovely feel to it. The tiny hearts are stickers (oh, did I forget to tell you that there are also stickers and, some die cuts and a couple of overlays in the pack too?), one has been coloured, then both mounted on Stampin' Dimensions.

The third card is a similar layout to the last one - a large card, small card, matting and layering. I've added a stamped sentiments then coloured the flower on a third card which has been fussy cut. I brushed on some Wink of Stella and added a pearl before attaching to the card with Stampin' Dimensions.

Here is a close up of the flower, you can see the twinkle from the Wink of Stella.

The fourth card is not so easy to capture in a photo. I inked up the embossing folder (Layered Leaves Dynamic TIEF) before embossing a piece of whisper white card. This leaves a debossed, ink effect of the leaves. Over this I've added an overlay which, on the bottom right hand corner has the word 'Together' in white. The final touch is two stamped birds from the Best Birds stamp set which have been die cut and attached with Dimensions. Some of the ladies placed a strip of basic grey card behind the word which enables you to view much more clearly.

Maybe you can just about spot the word 'Together' on the close up below.

The final card is a large card fro the pack onto which I've stamped 'Celebrate' from the SAB Amazing You stamp set, sadly soon to retire - just 3 days left to get yours! The flowers are stickers, again coloured, with Wink of Stella and pearls added.

Hopefully, in the picture below, you can see how pretty these stickers are.

I made 5 sample cards, the ladies chose 4 to make or could make their own designs. This week I plan to make some more to share with them.
Have YOU used our Memories & More cards to make some cards? They're such fun to use!
I hope to bring you some more shortly. Have a good week,
Lesley x
