Four Seasons

We made a card for each season in our Just For Fun classes this month. The stamp set we used was Colourful Seasons (see image above), we had a bit of fun with some of the backgrounds.
Here is the Spring card

The smooshed background and stamping is on white shimmer cardstock. It's difficult to get the shimmer to show in the photo but there is a lovely soft sheen when seen up close.
On the Summer card I stamped two deckchairs. Masking the first one when stamping the second. Usually an easy task but made a little more tricky by having to stamp the fabric area on the second chair at the correct angle. The background is created by inking the blocks with 2 ink pads and stamping then onto the centre of the white card.

The Autumn card is much simpler. The many shades of autumn are stamped onto very vanilla cardstock around the central sentiment. Embellished with 3 skeleton leaves, two in copper foil card and one in cajun craze.

My favourite card is the Winter one. Yes, it's blue! The background has again been made using the smoosh technique. The sentiment I chose would be great for any season and is not at all Christmassy. It's been stamped onto card which has been die cut with the stitched shapes framelits. This is layered onto a foiled snowflake. I removed the centre of the snowflake before sticking down so that I still have another smaller snowflake to use. The card front has been simply embellished with 3 die cut snowflakes.

This is such a versatile bundle of stamps and dies that it really didn't make sense to buy just one or the other. Also there is a saving when buying both stamps and dies together.
There are many super examples online of projects made using this set, I hope you have fun with yours!
When you read this I will be enjoying a weekend craft retreat by the sea in Folkestone, I hope you get some crafty time and have a super weekend too!
