Every month I run Just for Fun classes. My ladies are a loyal bunch and many have become friends. Last month I had hoped to do a little treat for my ladies as it was my big birthday month, but as my Dad was in hospital and I was going on a trip (Alaska. Yes, thank you very much - I had a great time!), I wasn't able to do as planned.
So, what was in the basket this month?......
So, what was in the basket this month?......
Everyone received a cello bag which contained a piece of each new In Colour card** with which to make 5 cards along with a sheet of the new Mini stampin' Dimensionals** (144108 £3.75).
At the end of class they like to take home the grid sheet they've been working on so I also laminated grid sheets for them which would wipe clean after use.
See those little green pouches? I have a die in my stash which creates those tear strips you see on boxes etc. Inside each one is a little 'offer' such as a free class, 10% off when you buy a bundle, choose some rhinestones or pearls when you place a qualifying order. They're all a little different.
I also introduced a Loyalty Card scheme. Qualifying orders gets a stamp on the card, 6 stamps and you get a free class.
I used those lush gold and white striped bags**(Striped Treat Bags 144255 £5) tied with ribbon to enclose ink pads in the new colours.
Last, but certainly not least, there was cake !!! Let's not forget the cake!
Now onto the cards. Note - ** indicates brand new product.
We used the new Daisy Delight stamp set** and coordinating punch** (available as a bundle, saving you money! 145361 £27.75) to create 4 cards.
The first is bright and breezy in daffodil yellow and pear pizzazz. The centre of the main daisy has a little Wink of Stella over the yellow ink in the centre
The sentiment is from another new set - Just Add Text ** (clear mount 143934 £16, wood 143931 £23))
The second card recreates a widow box or flower trough. Using the Daisy Delight stamp set again. The box is die cut from the Wood Textures dsp** (144177 £9.00) using the Wood Crate Framelits die** (143730 £27.00). To make a 3D box you would cut the image twice but I only needed one cut for the card. The ribbon is shimmer ribbon in powder pink** (144151 £6.25).
The last 2 cards were made together.
For the 3rd card we inked through one of the Pattern Party Decorative Masks** (144103 £5.50) with In Colour inks**, punched out 3 daisies which were set aside for the final card. The inked and punched piece of card was then glued to a piece of pear pizzaz before being stuck to the rose red base. Sentiment is from the Painter's Palette stamp set and has been die cut using the Stitched Shapes Framelits. I thought the sentiment apt as the inked and punched layer was a little 'arty'!
The final card is simple but bright which befits the sentiment on it (from the Beautiful You stamp set). The 3 daisies which were held over from the previous card are attached with dimensions to a strip of lemon lime twist card which in turn has been glued to the sentiment stamped white card. The whole lot has then been attached to the sahara sand base card.
My ladies had fun making these cards, what do you think of them? Do you like them or could I have done something differently?
Have a good week
