Stampin' Creative Blog Hop - Love & Hearts

Good morning and welcome to another Stampin' Creative Blog Hop. My, hasn't the time flown. It seems like only yesterday that I was doing the hop post for Boxing Day!
Whether you've hopped here from Mikaela, where you're sure to have seen something fab, or just joined the hop here, welcome to you!
As the title suggests, this month is all about Love & Hearts. We're not big on Valentines Day in this house. Mainly because it falls so closely to our wedding anniversary which always seems so much more important.
Today I've 2 cards to share with you. The first uses the new Bloomin' Heart Thinlets die along with another new product, Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper. I'm not a 'pink' girl but this is lush. However, to tone it down a bit, I've used the Glimmer Paper in the shape of a heart inside the card so that it just peeps through the die cut heart gently. My only difficulty is getting good photos of the cards!

My second card is less fussy, frothy, girly despite it also being in pink! this is my swap card for this weekend's team training event. Perfect for something a little more understated and for those of us with not many Valentine/Love themed stamps and products.

The arrow fletchings (yes, I did have to look that up!) are made using the chevron punch. The pieces then have a light coat of clear Wink of Stella. A product I have loved for a very long time - sooo glad that Stampin' Up! are featuring it in the latest catalogue. I hope you can see it more clearly here.

The arrowhead is cut from the same Glimmer paper as above, using the Sweetheart Punch. The small heart is from a retired, much loved punch but we do have another small heart in the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack. The sentiment is from the Project Life stamp set Memories in the Making.
I hope that you've enjoyed your visit today. Do feel free to leave comments on the blogs as you hop around, we love to get your feedback!

  7. Both great creations Lesley. I love the fine detail of the Bloomin' Love Heart Die, but for me, it's the arrow card that I really love and a reminder to use that chevron punch. Some great inspiration ... Thank you xx
