I wanted to try something I'd seen on the Stampin' Up! demo site - using the Mixed Bunch stamp set and blossom punch to make butterflies. The samples I'd seen were quite good so I thought "let's give it a go". My attempt is shown here.
Not quite sure what to think of this card - in my opiniion it's certainly not as good as those that I'd admired. I stamped a flower from the Simply Soft stamp set in soft suede on crumb cake cardstock (giving a soft shadow effect), which is mounted on the front of a white card. The butterflies are stamped in pacific point ink using a flower from Mixed Bunch, then cut out using the blossom punch. Roughly a third of the flower is trimmed away to make a butterfly shape onto which I've added large pearls.. The card is finished with white ribbon.
