New friend and a Sneak Peek

Back in February I met up with demonstrator Sherrill Graff at her Faith crop in Las Vegas, Nevada. Sherrll has been with Stampin' Up for 20 years and is a Founder Member, recruited by Shelli, one of the co-owners. As you can imagine, Sherrill is a fount of knowledge when it comes to SU. She seems to be able to organise and run crops, classes and conventions standing on her head!
Then there's the story of the raffle and the Big Shot bag, but I won't go into that ....... It was great to meet Sherrill after all our emails. What a warm, fun and generous woman. To see more of Sherrills work go to her blog, link is:http://latenightstamper-stampandscrap.blogspot.com/
At the crop I got to chat with a couple of scrappers who let me photograph their projects, I particularly loved the 'Cherish' page which works so well despite being busy.
'Cherish' layout
Here, held by it's designer - Robyn. Not one of my best photos but never mind!

Two views of a lovely gift box by the ladies, using the Beau Chateau DSP.

I liked the 'Cherish' page so much I CASE'd/scrap-lifted it and used the design (slightly altered) for the photo that was taken of my dear friend Anne, my new friend Sherrill, and myself. Quite pleased how the page came out overall though I did drop glue on the photo so that's got to be replaced. Hopefully you can't see the glue in this picture. Was glad to finally be able to use some retired DSP that I fell in love with last year, also my pennants punch. Ribbon and lettering is from my stash.
'Across the Pond' layout
You're going to have to be eagle-eyed to spot the two sneek peaks from our upcoming Summer Mini so I'll just tell you what they are. Hidden and stained with Early Espresso ink - I don't make it easy! - is Bakers Twine. So 'in vogue' at present.
I used the white and just coloured it up to suit but keep a look out for more in those lovely luscious 'In-Colours'.
Also new is the set of Framelits Dies - Label Collection which you should be able to spot on the left of the picture. I think both the twine and the labels will come in really handy on future projects.
