Today, I'm once again, referring back to our September One Sheet Wonder classes, where we stamped a OSW to make up to 16 cards using the Simply Fabulous stamp set.
The ladies were given card bases in real red and garden green and asked to stamp a 12" square sheet of white card, then create cards.
I wanted to show them that they could create Christmas cards from a non Christmas stamp set. In addition they also received Pearlized Enamel Effects and red and green ribbon in their kits. Since they all own the Life is Beautiful stamp set from a class last year, I used the snowflake stamp from that set to give my cards a little festive touch. Sentiments are not from the Simply Fabulous stamp set but are random from sets that are in my stash and may now be retired.
I created 15 cards (should have been 16 but I badly smudged one of them and it was beyond repair). Below you will see the first batch of these cards.
The cards were stepped up with the use of an embossing folder and dies to create a more dimensional set of OSW cards than is usual. Apart from the image stamp set not being Christmas, the embossing folder was also non seasonal, it's the Seabed 3D folder. The ladies could use embossing folders and dies of their choice.
I'm very pleased with the results and look forward to sharing the second batch with you in my next post.
Some items used were retired/from my stash. Below is a list of the current products I used, should you wish to view any more clearly - simply click on them.
Happy crafting!
