Driving By

After having fun with the SAB stamp set - Driving By, I used it again, along with the SAB Sunshine and Rainbows, and created 4 cards for this months classes. Today I will share them with you.

The first is a straight forward card which brings thoughts of the 1970's, with that cute little Camper Van.

There are many variations of this card online. Many are similar to each other as the DSP/patterned paper and stamp set were both part of Saleabration. I love the cards that have the camper van combined with palm trees and sunsets and am keen to try that soon too!

The second card is a slimline or, as I know it, a DL shaped card, in slightly more sombre shades, perhaps it would appeal to a more conservative person or even work as a masculine card - that's not to say that men don't like bright colours but I guess we don't always choose them for masculine cards.

The 'map' image is from a piece of vellum in the Layering Designs Vellum pack. So good to see this item carrying over to the new catalogue.

Next is what I refer to as a 'wardrobe card'. It's actually a gatefold card or, in this instance, a triple flap gatefold. Again using the same DSP and stamp set. It isn't noticeable from the photo but the windscreens all have fine tip adhesive on them which gives the effect of glass.

Above you can see the card opened. Plenty of room inside to stamp and/or write your greeting.

Our last card is a corner easel card. Again, many similar versions of this card online due to using the SAB stamp set and DSP. But, of course, you could use any you have.

The next photo shows the inside of the card. I did think of adding extra DSP but I think it might look too busily patterned. You can add some basic white card inside if you wish, on which to write your greeting or stamp a sentiment. Alternatively, there's plenty of space on the back of the card.

Below you see that the card folds flat to enable you to mail it easily without incurring extra postage.

The hubcaps have a little shimmer from Wink of Stella.

I do hope you've enjoyed reading about our class cards and will join me again soon!

Have a crafty week,

Lesley
