Treasures of Life

I’m delighted to share today's card with you which I made to celebrate the arrival of our granddaughter.

There are so many clever, kinetic pop up style cards all over the internet but I wanted something simple and sweet. So, out came those Darling Donkey stamps again.

The base card is basic white. There is a petal pink mat. On top of that is a white mat which has been embossed with the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder. I had some retired ribbon which was a perfect match.
I stamped the cutest donkey in Memento ink, colouring him (why is it a him???) with Stampin' Blends. The stamped image is fussy cut and mounted on a basic white circle (Stitched Shapes dies), this is then mounted onto a petal pink scalloped circle which has been die cut with the Layering Circle set of dies.
The letters are die cut from Foam Adhesive Sheets using the Playful Alphabet dies after which I rubbed them with Gilded Leafing before attaching them to the card. They really are so soft to touch! Finally I stamped the 'Welcome Little One' sentiment in Versamark and heat embossed with gold Stampin' Emboss Powder. This sentiment is comprised of two small stamps from the Animal Outing stamp set, now retired.

I wanted to put a little something inside and chose the lovely sentiment from the Treasures of Life stamp set.

The sentiment was again stamped in Versamark and heat embossed in gold, mounted to match the front of the card. The sentiment seemed so apt. Babies are such precious treasure!

I hope that you've enjoyed viewing today's post.

Happy crafting,
