On The Other Side

Over the past ten years I've run my own classes and events, this means that I don't seem to attend many classes as an attendee. This past week one of my team, Maria, has restarted her own Coffee and Card events at a branch of Costa. This was a great excuse for me to be taught and just socialise. To be on the 'other side of the table'.I cleared my diary and spent a couple of hours in her company, chatting, drinking coffee and making a super card which I'm sharing with you today. This card reminds me of the season despite today being the classed online as the last day of summer.

The stamp set used is called Sweet Strawberry, it can be found on page 43 of our annual catalogue. We stamped onto a layer of shimmer card. Although classed as white, this card falls into a nice place between basic white and very vanilla. This gives such a soft shimmer behind the image. Coloured with Stampin' Blends with a few pearl rhinestones to embellish, we are left with a pretty card which can be adapted for many occasions.... it would look even more delicate if I hadn't spilt my coffee all over the table! Unfortunately you can just spot a little on the left side of the card.

I do hope you like today's card. If you do, keep an eye online for Maria's projects, many of which are suitable for children too.

I hope we all get a little more sunlight without the heat before autumn arrives properly, but if we don't you can always create a little sunshine by sending someone a handcrafted card.

Happy crafting,

Lesley
