Mixture Of Sentiments

What a mixed bag this past month! Along with the birthday cards I've been busy with a mixture of other cards. Among these are baby cards, a sympathy card and, of course, thank you's.
Now, I like a baby along with the next person but 5 new people arriving in one month? I'd like my friends to stop having grandchildren, or, at least spread it out! Thankfully, two friends both had 2 new grandchildren each so I only needed 3 cards. I don't carry baby stamps so my cards were pretty simple.
I didn't take a photo of them standing. Although very similar, this photo may give you a slightly better idea as to how it opens.
Sadly, one of those same friends, whilst celebrating 2 new lives in the family, also had to deal with her Mum passing away. Though very sad, this grand old lady had lived well into her 90's so I didn't want to send an overly sombre card as I feel the family want to celebrate her life. I resorted to a 'thinking about you' sentiment instead. This is the card I sent.
I left it rather last minute again to get my customer cards made to enclose with their orders. Then, of course, they all went wrong and I had to start again. I really need to catch up on myself.
These were made using Coffee Cafe and crumb cake note cards. My ink pad wasn't overly wet and I like the patchy granular look it gave when I heat embossed. A bit rustic.
Something a bit brighter in colour now -
Here's another card I popped into the post recently to a lady called Chris when I had a little guessing game going on my Facebook page...
Last month I announced to my ladies that each person who ordered during July would have their name put into a draw (I included an online customer too). The prize was the Tranquil Tulips stamp set which, as a hostess set, can only be acquired by getting stampin' rewards via a party or workshop, not by purchasing from the catalogue. It's a 2 step stamp set and I've seen some lovely samples made with it.
So, I entered the names into an online random spinner which looks like this
The winner was - Teresa Brooks!
I will pop the set into her bag along with her order. I hope she has fun with her surprise.
Not only that, all who ordered get a loyalty card on which I stamp each time they place a £25 order. A full card = a free Just For Fun class. Another surprise in their bags as I don't think they've remembered that!
I'm hoping to have my new little phone cradle before the weekend so that I can show you a wee video. Fingers crossed.
Have a good week
