Birthday Greetings

It seems longer than 2 weeks since my last post, I've been so taken up with making samples for next months Stamp Camp. Only 6 more samples to make but that doesn't include the 20 swaps I need to make for ths coming Saturday's Team Training. I need to get moving.......
Today's post shows the card I made for a friends birthday. It was a 'biggie' but I wanted to do something that didn't feature her age, something a little feminine but NOT pink and not frilly.
Her favoutire colour is purple so that made the choice of base card easy - Elegant Eggplant (edges cut with the Scallop Edge Punch), made into an easel card with Crumb Cake cut using the Top Note Bigz Die. The leaves are cut from vellum using the Little Leaves die and the butterflies are in Whisper White cut and embossed with the Beautiful Wings die, lightly coated with Shimmer Paint in Frost White. The largest has 3 rhinestones. The greeting is from the 'Heard from the Heart' stamp set, stamped in Lucky Limeade on Crumb Cake card. Sentiment is from my stash. The feedback? She sent a text thanking me for my 'beautiful card'.  Well, I don't know about that but it was quite pretty and I was pleased with it. I hope you had a very Happy Birthday!

  1. Love this card - presumably for Cathryn. It really shouts at you and is well worth the look!
